Description

Asian Applique Fans singles offers your choice of 8 Oriental fans in applique style. Purchasing a single from the collection, you will receive both sizes of that design, 4×4 and 5×7.

Asian Applique Fans are digitized with trim in place method.  Your machine tacks your fabric swatch down, you trim it, then the satin stitch covers the raw edge. Even if you are new to applique, with a little practice you can master it.  One advantage is that applique designs have lower stitch counts. In addition, you can use up your fabric stash clear down to 3″ or 4″ squares.

I am partial to batiks, so I used mostly batiks for the pictured applique designs. Have a great time coordinating the thread and fabrics you prefer! The presentation changes as you vary the fabrics and thread used. The tassels on these fans are individually created for a 3 dimensional look. My Oriental fans are also available in sashiko or regular fill stitch, right here at Anemone-Embroidery.com.
